King Louie and his One Man Band are making a couple of stops up the Midwestern corridor this weekend and playing at Now That's Class in Cleveland on Saturday with a pretty amazing line-up. King Louie is easily one of the best songsters of this generation, crafting tunefully abrasive pop hits that are able to fit in seamlessly in any number of styles he's taken on over the past decade. Whether it be The Persuaders, Kajun SS, Exploding Hearts or his brilliant one-man band, King Louie's songs are as insightful and often humorous as they are catchy. Brandishing hooks that leave a mark on the psyche so deep they takes days to excavate, they leave you helplessly humming songs like “Drug Problem” around mixed company.
The swampy Columbus, Ohio act, Grave Blankets are also performing an opening slot. Their matchless sound comes with a trudging, thick bass and drum combo that will wilt the snide smile right off your face. Playing along side the long running Kent Ohio 3-piece, Kill The Hippies and the 11-year old fronted hardcore act, The Episodes should make for a pretty interesting evening.
King Louie will also be making stops in Indianapolis at Radio Radio on December 14th and again, with Cheap Time on Monday in Nashville.
