The remarkably effective tear-jerking Northwest ensemble, The Dutchess And The Duke are already on the last lap of their second tour of the year so far, and will be swinging through Buffalo, NY tonight and back toward the Midwest this weekend. With their headstrong handful of captivating songs that quiver and replenish the soul almost instantly, this fearsome twosome will swing through Chicago next week and land three shows over two days. See them in the most intimate setting at Town Hall Pub on Tuesday night, and a quick in-store at Reckless Records on Wednesday afternoon before their slot at Schubas that same night supporting James Jackson Toth, who sounds like a 19th century diplomat bent on raising your taxes and killing your buzz as quickly as possible. Despite that, it's gonna be another heart string-tugging chance to see the year's most introspective rock'n'roll duo strum and jangle their way into your soul. If you were lucky enough to catch them at the VoT Snoooze Fest in July, you know what kind of an earmarked occasion this will be, and how you really can't miss 'em.
Be sure to pick up their She's The Dutchess, He's The Duke LP on Hardly Art, along with their brand new 7" (with two non-LP tracks) on HoZac from their merch table, and revel in the fantastically above-par folk sounds that will soon turn the world on it's ear, and will make the females melt with wispy adoration. Check out The Dutchess and the Duke on their last leg of the tour for a taste of their brand new songs at these locations below and keep your hands twiddling anxiously as they prepare their follow-up LP in the next months, sure to convert the masses, and blow even more minds open.
