Part 2 of my promised photo blast from the past in anticipation of the upcoming Hozac Blackout Fest. Somehow I managed to take a few of my best photos ever at this one and also some of my absolute worst! A very long weekend of partying, shooting, working and doing a day show at Fireside with my old band The Black Beauties. By the time the headliners came on (even before) I was barely capable of working the camera. For instance during Les Sexareenos I finished a roll and while changing the film didn't bother to actually rewind it. Just opened it up right there in the (luckily) dark club. Stuffed it under my shirt and sorta managed to rescue enough of it to get some passable shots. Didn't even try to shoot the Compulsive Gamblers. Also missed shooting some of the other bands all together! Yet magically was able to shoot photos AND video of the Spits (you may have seen in early Ernie video extras) Ah yes, Horizontal Action Blackouts.......
