Welcome to another installment of the 5 SHOTS series here at VoT. This batch captures the blurred intensity, drunken affection, and delirious dereliction of the recent Budget Rock 8 Fest that went down in San Francisco at the end of October, courtesy of Tiger Lily. In case you weren't aware, the Budget Rock Fest celebrated it's eighth year and the lineup was a revisiting of the original 'budget rock' old guard, and also included a cavalcade of newer bands that keep it straight and don't have tour buses yet, so it all came together beautifully. Saturday night's lineup was the stuff dreams are made of, and seeing The Mummies, The Brentwoods, The Fevers and Donny Denim all in the same gulp was insanely great, and an experience not many will ever forget. The pizza eating contest was the sloppiest display of gluttony I've witnessed since the Fox Sports' presentation of Glutton Bowl, that brought the competitive eating movement into American households back in 2002.
